Sima Kim “I” (from “Songs”, on Twice Removed Records, 2012)

I could follow this song until the end of the world and drown within, yes following the steps of Sima Kim is long way, from South Korea to Europe, from India to USA and discovering this record on Twice Removed which simply stands on the verge of the australian continent in front of vast oceanic waters, in Perth, yes, makes sense. Oh well, there is something from Saito Koji, something from Windy & Carl, something from Songs of Green Pheasant, both vaporous and deeply melancholic, light and deep. something from limitless blue waters, something from icy landscapes, something from an eternal loneliness, and this slowness, this reverb, a desperate lullaby which makes me feel so lost, so tiny, under the glowing lights of a diminishing sun, welcoming the night and i can feel and hear my heart beating.
